Creative Zen Vision MP3 Player

Make a statement - carry your own Creative Zen Vision MP3 Player and be the envy of all. The Creative Zen Vision:M has a simple interface, yet an incredible screen, excellent video battery life, an FM tuner and recorder, and a voice recorder. It has excellent audio and video quality .It boasts of a customizable Shortcut button, supports a wide range of online music stores and subscription services, as well as video formats. It may be compared to Apple’s iPod; nevertheless, it speaks of form and function. The Creative Zen feels sturdy in the hands and may appear to be thicker than that of the iPod’s fragile looking player.

There’s somewhat a different approach with Creative Vision:M's controls. Instead of iPod’s Click Wheel, it is a vertical touch pad which allows you to scroll up and down menus and control volume. Creative could have made the buttons a bit more sensitive as they require a firm press that gives an overall feeling of awkwardness to an otherwise well-designed user interface. One more thing is the touch pad’s oversensitivity making unintentional selections of the interface. It’s Length and width dimensions are exactly the same at 4.1 and 2.4 inches respectively. When it comes to girth, the iPod has the Vision:M beat; the Vision:M is .7 inches thick, while the iPod measures .4 inches. The Vision:M feels comfortable, yet sturdy, in the hand, with curved surfaces in all the right places.

Vision:M's screen, measures 2.5 inches diagonally, boast of sharp details, vibrant color, and excellent response with little or no video hosting during high-action sequences. At 320 x 240 resolution, you'll likely have no trouble enjoying video while you're sitting on the subway or a flight, or in the back-seat of a car which is somewhat to be expected from a device this small of a size.. While this can be good for maintaining privacy, the narrow viewing angle means that friends beside you will struggle to see anything other than a black screen. Compared side by side with the iPod, the only carp was the screen's less than stellar viewing angle.

Most MP3 players should also have removable batteries, which the Creative Zen Vision:M doesn't. Luckily, battery life isn't quite as problematic as it is on the 5G iPod, as explained in the Performance section. A removable battery would have been a clincher for many prospective buyers. he Vision:M can also store thousands of photos, letting you browse through them or set up a slideshow. The device's TV-out option comes in handy here, as you can present slideshows on a TV or projector. Videos can be displayed this way, too. An FM radio with easy preset tuning functions and great signal reception, plus a voice recorder feature, round out the extra media features.

Connecting to your PC comes courtesy of a Sync Adapter: a small dongle that plugs into the bottom of the Vision:M and supplies power, USB, and A/V-out ports. Creative couldn't have engineered these ports into the player itself, as the dongle is just one more thing to bring along--and potentially lose. But Still the player charges over USB, so you wouldn't always need to haul an extra cable. Creative at least includes the adapter, which might partly explain the Vision:M's higher price.
